Past Projects:

  • In order to reach a broad audience with a message about personal responsibility in environmental health, the chair of the Environmental Health Committee engaged students from her Health Communications class to develop outreach projects with support from the American Cancer Society. Thirty students developed projects that were showcased during the Appalachian Health Summit Resource Fair on May 21st. Projects included water safety demonstrations and recycling awareness. Students also helped increase awareness for the summit through PR initiatives. Their projects reached approximately 300 community members at the Summit.
